Research at the Carnegie Heritage Centre

Volunteers at the Carnegie Heritage Centre have helped many organisations with their research, including HERIB, Wenlock Barracks, Sailors Children Society and the Bransholme 50th Anniversary exhibition.

Our volunteers have researched Hull's local transport and put an exhibition on for people to come in and see the results. We have many photos of old lorries!

The 1st and 2nd World War are ongoing research projects and we have put together a lot of information about local casualties from Hull. If you have a relative who was killed in either wars we will have information, and maybe photos, of them.

Our present project (funded by Heritage Lottery) is the part Hull & Grimsby played in the Cod and Cold Wars. We are looking for people who remember these times to come in and be interviewed so we can analyse the complete story. This will be filmed and played on "Thats TV" and probably feature on our web site.
